The short version

A hospital's back office, not a boardroom

Almost seventeen years ago, this software went live on a single desktop at a hospital's OPD counter — registering patients, printing prescriptions, running the pharmacy window. There was no roadmap deck, no seed round — just a front desk that needed to move faster, one hospital at a time.

It grew the way real hospital software grows: one nursing home asking for a lab module, one diagnostic centre asking for report tracking, one college health centre asking for something simpler than what the big hospitals used. Almost two decades later, it's still running at some of those very first installs — daily, without fanfare.

PatientOne is that same system, rebuilt from the ground up as a cloud platform. The workflows are the ones that were already proven at real front desks; what's changed is that it now runs in a browser, reaches diagnostic labs and campus dispensaries as easily as hospitals, and is built with today's health data standards in mind from day one.

Seventeen years, briefly

From one OPD desktop to one cloud platform

2009
Goes live on a single OPD desktop, inside one hospital — registration, prescriptions, and the pharmacy window.
10+ yrs
Runs daily at long-standing installs including BITS Pilani, J&K Police Hospital (Srinagar), and AIIMS Rishikesh — through nothing more than routine upkeep.
2026
Rebuilt as a cloud platform — PatientOne — for hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic labs, and campus dispensaries everywhere.
What stays the same

Built at the counter, not around it

The rebuild changed where PatientOne runs. It didn't change who it's built for — the reception staff, pharmacists, and lab techs who actually use it all day, every day.
